What SendIt does
SendIt combines file transfer and code snippet sharing behind the same idea: a short access code instead of a permanent link, and an expiry window you choose at the moment of sharing.
The current product supports up to 20 files at 100 MB per file, expiry control up to 24 hours in the normal file flow, syntax-highlighted snippets across 14 language choices, optional account history, and scheduled cleanup after expiry. Normal shares do not currently have a manual revoke endpoint.
SendIt is not end-to-end encrypted or a backup service. The security page explains what HTTPS, encrypted stored files, access codes, and expiry do and do not protect.
SendIt is a good fit for a short handoff: moving a document between devices, sending a draft for review, handing in an assignment, or discussing a small debugging example. It is not a replacement for a managed workspace when a team needs folders, permissions, comments, version history, or guaranteed retention.
Before every transfer, confirm permission to share, remove unnecessary metadata and sensitive values, choose the shortest practical expiry, send the code privately, and keep an independent copy until receipt is confirmed.
Use SendIt when speed and a simple receive code matter most. Use cloud storage for ongoing access, and use an end-to-end encrypted service when the provider must not be able to read the content.
